Description
This blanket was one of our first turbo blanket designs. Â It was specifically designed to address an issue of spacial constraints in an engine bay. Â The blanket tightly wraps around the exhaust side of an internally wastegated T25 or T28 turbocharger and holds heat into the turbo to help spool the turbo earlier. Â Because the blanket is flat, it is a perfect option when there is limited space around the turbocharger where a bulkier enclosed blanket may not fit well.
This blanket is a three layer design consisting of a heavy 6 pound density 1/2″ thick ceramic wool inner layer construction that easily handles 2500°F.  This is sandwiched between a high temperature silicone impregnated fiberglass outer layer and a protective stainless steel knitted wire mesh inner layer.  The entire blanket is extremely durable and very well built by hand here in the USA.
